Global Job Task Analysis

IFMA's Global Job Task Analysis

IFMA’s Global Job Task Analysis (GJTA) is a landmark initiative to thoroughly define the practice of facility management.

Identifying and validating FM job responsibilities and activities shared worldwide, GJTA results will provide the basis for the profession’s body of knowledge and ensure that IFMA’s Certified Facility Manager® (CFM®) credential measures all candidates against one global standard.

Thank you to those of you who have helped us reach our goal for survey responses. The success of this initiative is because of you!

Continue to watch this page for results.

Make your voice heard for the benefit of your profession.

Your survey responses will provide a better understanding of unique regional and industry-specific concerns and demands; and clarify commonalities at a strategic level, ensuring that the definition of FM reflects what you do, so you may be measured on how well you do it.

Why is this analysis important?

Guided by IFMA’s International Credentials Commission (ICC), the GJTA process will provide a foundation for developing exam specifications and curricula that accurately reflect the scope of the FM practice.

Based on responses from facility managers in 62 countries, IFMA’s 2009 GJTA identified 11 core competencies of facility management and the current survey will set the agenda for ways in which IFMA continues to support and advance the profession.
